Bodrum

Bodrum has been one of the most popular resorts of Turkey for the last decade. This picturesque peninsula is dotted with bays and coves all around it and offers some of the most dramatic scenery in the Aegean. From May to October it is a second home to a lot of Turkish people running away from the big city! It is also called the Turkish St. Tropez with its beautiful marinas and  numerous bays and coves offering some of the best sailing along the Turquoise Coastline of Turkey. Situated right across from Kos island, Bodrum is also a perfect spot for island hopping in the Dodecannese.

The town of Bodrum spreads around a mythical castle dating back to the Knights of Saint John. The castle today houses a very impressive museum of underwater archaeology.Visitors can easily access the harbour,  filled with Bodrum’s famous wooden yachts. One can find the ruins of one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient World, the Mouseleum of Halicarnassus. Besides all the history and natural beauty of the peninsula, it is easy to find some of the best restaurants, bars and clubs of Turkey or possibly the best night life in any coastal resort. A must in Bodrum is having fresh fish and raki, the national drink, with lots of “mezes” (local appetizers similar to tapas) against the sunset at a trad
